he Tadawul All-Share Index (TASI) ended without any significant change yesterday, as it retreated to 6,796.99 points, which was roughly where it started the day.
The index while wavering in the North-South within a range of 48 points finally crossed the break-even line, adding nominal 6.79 points or 0.10 percent.
Saudi sector indices performed in a mixed fashion, with seven sectors accumulating an aggregate of 274 points and eight sectors trimming 324 points collectively. Banks & Financial Services came out as the best performing sector, rising by 198 points or 1.34 percent. Cement sector followed it, advancing by 0.56 percent for the day.
Multi-Investment and Insurance sectors, on the contrary, delivered a negative performance, both slipping 1.81 percent for the day.
Most of heavy weights also closed mixed. Al-Rajhi Bank outdid rest of its peers, advancing 2.55 percent to close the day at SR 70.25 and Kingdom Holding fell down to SR 14.1, showing 2.09 percent negative change.
Falling stocks outnumbered rising ones two-to-one on the Saudi stock market yesterday.
ACE Arabia Cooperative Insurance Co. led the top gainers chart at Tadawul, rising by 9.98 percent to close the day at SR 179.
Amana Cooperative Insurance, on the other hand, posted the largest losses, falling 8.34 percent for the day.
