Sponsor team Thales shone during the penultimate week of preliminary round in the ongoing UFTBR-Thales Sunday Bowling League at UBC.
Thales took full advantage of its shorthanded opponent Alwan Micronizers cruising to a perfect score of 22 points and clinching Team of the Week honors.
Leading the team was Rosielle Borre with a 4-game series of 893, with contributions from Fareed Aquino (838), Boy Mirando (809), Vic Barrazona (809), Ryan Inigo (492) and Ellen Bernabe (485).
In other matches, Itqan Strikers defeated Philippine Embassy 19-12, Bandar Strikers clobbered reputed giant killer Saudi Oger 18-9, league leader Itqan Aces downed Unica Aldrei 18-9, Itqan Tenpin Wizards topped Saco Bolts and Nuts 22-10, Itqan Storm streaked past Bowleros 28-12 and Habagat derailed Neneng Batumbakal 20-14.Named bowlers of the week were Arnold Jesena (903 series) and Vicky Vitug (842). Ronald Bautista of Batumbakal still leads in the men’s MVP race with an average of 218.19 followed by Celis Viloria (214.67) and Ernee Noto (213.52). In the ladies MVP race Lulu Quejada leads with an average 183.56 followed by Beth Danganan (181.51) and Cheng Herosa at third (180.07).
The league is sponsored by Thales Security Solutions & Services Co., Saudi Arabia and run by UFTBR through Jim Dela Rosa, league chairman, and members namely Armin Isles, Cesar De Mesa, Dennis Durens, Pau Feria and Bong Solomon.
