The 15th Art Dubai, from March 11-13, has revealed its official program for 2022. From talks to installations, here’s what to expect from the three-day event.
Fernando Garcia-Dory x INLAND
Artist Fernando Garcia-Dory is creating new multi-site installations at the fair and across Dubai representing the concept of communities and coming together, and Dubai’s past, present and future.
Bawwaba
This year’s Bawwaba, meaning “gateway” in Arabic, features special works created in the past year for the fair, highlighting current artistic developments across the “Global South” by solo artists.
NFTs
A new gallery section will feature various universal platforms working with NFTs, new media pieces and digital art.
Innovative talks
Three different talk programs will be taking place this year. You don’t want to miss the Global Art Forum, which will discuss the worlds of digital artefacts and crypto markets.
Cloud seeding
Commissioned artist James Clar will present a new installation this year focusing on the concept of “cloud seeding” where the artwork will immerse visitors into a large-scale real-time simulation.
