I want to draw your attention to a situation that could be called a grievance. When I recently visited at King Khaled Airport in Riyadh for the first time in my life I had to use a public toilet at the airside section of the terminals.
And what I could see there I had rather estimated at a suburban bus terminal in Kolkata than at the international airport of the capital of this rich country!
Of course, I know that the current renovation work can cause some inconvenience, but the hygienic state of the sanitary facilities is not affected by any construction works. It is the responsibility of the airport’s operator to guarantee the standards of cleanliness and comfort, and in this case the minimum standards are not maintained. Perhaps other passengers have had similar experiences, and this could be reason for some inquiries in this matter. — Mihlay Bauer, Fertoerakos, Hungary
