OAKLAND, California: The Golden State Warriors ended a five-year hoodoo by beating San Antonio 107-101 in overtime on Friday, ending a 16-game losing streak against the Spurs.
Jarrett Jack had 30 points and 10 rebounds while David Lee added 25 points and 22 boards for the Warriors, who beat the NBA-leading Spurs for the first time since January 2008.
In another one-sided rivalry, Houston beat Brooklyn for the 13th straight time. In other key games, Oklahoma City ended a three-game skid by beating Minnesota, Indiana took over second place in the Eastern Conference by beating Detroit, replacing New York which was beaten by Toronto, while the Los Angeles Lakers ended a trying week on a good note by edging Portland.
Golden State came from 13 points down in the fourth quarter to force overtime and beat the Spurs, all without center Andrew Bogut.
Danny Green scored 20 points for San Antonio, which had won 16 of their previous 17.
Houston's James Harden and Carlos Delfino each scored 22 points as the Rockets beat the Brooklyn Nets 106-96, tying their longest winning streak against any opponent.
Houston blew most of a 15-point lead in the fourth quarter before Delfino hit a big 3-pointer with 1:54 left. He later made another jumper before Harden followed with a 3 to put it away.
Brook Lopez scored 27 points for the Nets, who played without injured starting guard Joe Johnson for the first time this season.
