A wedding recently took place at the Janadriyah national festival for heritage and culture.

A bride from Al-Baha wore traditional clothes among a turnout of women visitors at the Al-Baha pavilion.

The head of the delegation of the Al-Baha pavilion, Amal Al-Ghamdi, said that the wedding ceremony, known as the “zaffah,” is the first women’s lounge event at the Al-Baha pavilion, with several corners that include traditional items and crafts that were used in old times to fetch water from wells and strain milk.

The women’s lounge also includes a traditional kitchen corner with traditional cooking utensils and a bridal trousseau corner, which includes the bride’s clothes, mattresses, bed and toiletries.
