RIYADH: Euromoney Saudi Arabia conference 2016 will open here on Tuesday with the focus on the Kingdom’s reinvigorated economic strategy this year including economic reforms.

Celebrating its 11th anniversary in the Kingdom, the Euromoney conference, which is organized annually under the patronage of the Ministry of Finance, is all set to be staged as one of the most significant financial meetings held in the Kingdom.

Top business and finance leaders in he Kingdom attending it alongside the world’s leading financial institutions.

The theme of the conference this year is “Delivering Reform: Maintaining Growth.”

According to the organizers, key speakers at this year’s include Finance Minister Ibrahim Al-Assaf, Economy and Planning Minister Adel Fakeih, Commerce and Industry Minister Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, Labor Minister Mufrej Al-Haqabani, Capital Market Authority (CMA) Chairman Mohammed Al-Jadaan and Mark Mobius, one of the earliest and successful emerging market icons.

Visiting delegates and attendees this time will learn about the development strategy from an exclusive on-stage interview with the CMA chief on the first day of the conference while Mark will take part in a special interview live on stage on the second day.

Mark will be giving his well-informed and experienced views on investments in the Kingdom. He will also comment on the state of the global emerging markets as the global financial landscape poses many challenges.

The forum will discuss how the Kingdom can face them with its customary resilience.

Te conference will start with the macro-economic outlook, looking at oil strategy and global markets, fiscal policy and the economic reform program.

Then it will move on to the future of the Kingdom’s debt and equity markets and the lessons learned from the opening of the stock market to qualified foreign investors.

It will further discuss other important sectors in the Kingdom such as real estate, corporate and private equity, SMEs, health care and education and determine whether they are really counter-cyclical investment opportunities.
