Saudi stocks hovered in small gains and losses yesterday, almost a repeat of previous day's flat performance which turned positive and the day ended in green.
The Tadawul All-Share Index (TASI) advanced a little from earlier levels to 7,014.9 points. The TASI spending most of the session in the red territory and within a range of 40.75 points finally crossed the break-even line, gaining 10.19 points or 0.15 percent for the entire session.
Only Med cap among the market cap indices moved downward slightly.
Eleven out of Tadawul's fifteen sectors ended the day in green territory, accumulating an aggregate of 279.06 points. Industrial Investment sector remained at top showing an increase of 1.18 percent to 6,592.40 from 6,515.44. Multi-Investment sector followed it, advancing over one percent.
On the negative side, four sectors including Cement — the worst performer (down 0.9 percent) ended in red, paring 71.2 points jointly.
Advancing stocks outnumbered decliners by a margin of 87 to 52 and the prices of 17 companies remained unchanged.
Saudi Industrial Export Co. made the biggest jump among all Saudi equities, surging by 6.01 percent to close at SR 83.75.
Most of the major heavy weights marched higher from previous day's level, with Saudi Arabian Mining Co. (Maaden) surging by 2.08 percent, Kingdom Holding 1.25 percent and Saudi Electricity Co. 1.08 percent.
