Al-Salem Johnson Controls (ASJC), a joint venture between the Al-Salem group of companies and Johnson Controls International, a global leader in delivering solutions that increase energy efficiency in buildings, launched its community service program with a two-day blood donation drive.

The event was organized with the International Medical Center (IMC), in an effort to give back to the community and address the region’s need for blood donation.

The blood drive is part of an employee-driven initiative which encourages employees to volunteer with local organizations to support environmental causes and leadership development.

Basil Abdulaziz, vice president and managing director of Al Salem Johnson Controls, said: “Blood donation is a responsible thing to do and showcases our commitment to our neighbors, friends and family. Donating blood is a life-saving contribution to our community and we encourage more people to do the same.”

Moahanad Al-Shaikh, director of operations and administration, added, “Our employees have made this blood donation drive one of the company’s most meaningful events. It’s comforting to know that we all have a part in providing blood for someone in need.”
