As time is nearing to say goodbye to the wintry weather, “value fashion chain” Citymax unveils the 2014 spring collection for men, women and children.

Pastels, monochrome and tropical prints with pops of color are all featured heavily throughout the collection.

Citymax’s latest offering provides ready to wear items and accessories suitable for the office, getaways, time spent at home and out as well as affordable basics and wardrobe staples.

The men’s collection features an array of trends from tropical camouflage interpreted in classic silhouettes such as, polos, printed v-neck tees, Chambray shirts and printed shorts.

Resort wear is also seen in the collection with a preppy twist in key colors ranging from white, cranberry, red, royal blue and navy.

The essential items to look out for are the color-blocked stripe tee, lightweight hoodies and printed and striped shorts.

Pastel has taken the world by storm and Citymax’s men collection features classic masculine shapes — blazers, chinos, cotton shirts and tees in sorbet pastel colors. The key tones and washes are mint, peach, butter, rose and grey melange.

The overriding trend for women this season is influenced strongly by Fendi’s spring/summer show with a huge sports influence. This trend has taken the fashion world by storm.

With sports-inspired silhouettes, sleeve details and embellishments, curved hems, jogger shapes and tennis skirts, and the bomber jacket are making appearances in the latest releases.

Besides the influential sports trend, Citymax also bought into other big trends that influence this season such as, classic monochromatic prints with, floral and pastel touches.

Aquatic prints, China porcelain prints inspired by Roberto Cavalli are quite key. A huge spring trend is summer pastels in sorbet tones with classic coco chanel tailoring.
