Schneider Electric, the global specialist in energy management, showcased its Smart Water solutions for ensuring a sustainable water future for Saudi Arabia.

The announcement was made at a media briefing during the Schneider Electric Smart Water Solutions forum in Riyadh.

Omar Alayoubi, water segment manager, Schneider Electric — Saudi Arabia, said: “What we are doing here today is demonstrating the efficacy of our innovative solutions that will address these growing water demands. Our ‘Smart Water’ solution from our ‘Smart Cities’ portfolio provides intelligent solutions that promote efficiency and sustainability. The solutions have already established an excellent reputation with several water agencies and utilities worldwide.”

Alayoubi added: “With an estimated $6 6 billion to be invested by the government in plants and upgrades over the next 10 years, Schneider Electric is extremely well placed to support this investment with our technology and solutions — making us a prominent component in Saudi Arabia’s sustainable water future.”

Schneider Electric’s forum in Riyadh brought together over 130 participants including end users, operators, contractors, and water consultants.

Two workshops on ‘Integrated Automation Solutions for Water’, and ‘Water Network Management Systems’ were also held.
