Turkish Airlines celebrated its successful operations and partnership with more than 200 travel agents in Saudi Arabia and presented awards of recognition to the top achievers at a function in Jeddah.
Hosted by senior officials of Turkish Airlines in Saudi Arabia, the event was attended by Turkish Consul General Fikret Ozer, who was accompanied by vice consuls and attaches from the consulate.
The occasion also marked the launch of Turkish Airline’s new motto "Widen Your World," which has been recently adopted to express the impressive progress made by Turkey’s national flag carrier and highlight the airline’s strategic expansion program.
Currently, the Turkish Airlines fleet consists of 238 aircraft comprising both passenger and cargo planes.
Speaking on behalf of Turkish Airlines, Osman Hacimahmutoglu said: “Over the years, our previous Globally Yours motto has served us superbly well by substantially increasing international awareness of our services and has succeeded in positioning the airline as a leading player within the global aviation community, a position that is recognized by a number of prestigious awards. Now, it is time for Turkish Airlines to adopt a new brand identity that embodies our international status and expresses our vision into the future.”
Living up to the message of its new motto, Turkish Airlines offers Saudi passengers the opportunity to enjoy a truly international travel experience through the world’s most comprehensive network, using its Istanbul hub to act as a one-stop for connections between virtually any two cities on earth.
Currently, the airline has 66 operations a week from Saudi Arabia, and 21 flights between Istanbul and Jeddah.
Turkish Airlines began its operations in Saudi Arabia in 1977.
In Saudi Arabia, Turkish Airlines achieved remarkable growth of approximately 95 percent in 2011, with a further 25 percent added in 2013, due to its unmatched service quality and efficient operations.
