This refers to the report, “Kingdom undergoing educational transformation,” about the visit of Prof. Waseem Akhtar, the vice Chancellor of the Integral University, Lucknow, India to the Kingdom.
I know Prof. Akhtar and his works. He is the silent harbinger of educational revolution in India, which is doing a great lot of help for the Muslim community. But unfortunately such Muslim activists are few and far between. We must support his activities and follow his example to do our best to uplift the educational status of the Muslim community instead of waiting for any political messiah to do the work.
Also, I praise, welcome and pray for Dr. Akhtar’s efforts to create educational campuses in foreign countries like Saudi Arabia for the higher education of the expat students. This is long awaited and will definitely go a long way to make the expat parents meeting their ambition for their children pursuing higher education without any hassles.
And I am sure, the present Saudi government under the leadership of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques benevolent King Abdullah will definitely look into the matter for the sake of grander aim of the Ummah. — Muhammad Faheem Siddiqui, Posted on arabnews.com
