Exposing Modi’s real face

The most notorious and infamous Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi has once again been found involved in a major scam as evidences are being surfaced against him, which, according to Arvind Kejriwal, will prove a greater scam than the 2G scam, which has recently rattled the ruling UPA government.
The newly formed Aam Admi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal has accused the Gujarat chief minister of giving undue favors to some corporate companies worth millions of rupees. He alleged that Modi has showered special unlawful favors to the Adani Group and agreed to purchase power from the company at a rate double of what was offered by the Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation. According to Kejriwal, Modi has granted land to the Adanis in Kutch area at throwaway prices. He alleged that Modi has gifted away 20 percent of Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation’s (GSPC) stake in the Krishna-Godavari Basin to two companies, Geo Global and Jubilant Enpro Private limited.
About the said scandal Kejriwal said, “Geo Global was incorporated just six days before their agreement with GSPC. On the day of the agreement, its total capital was Rs. 3, 200 ($ 64) only. The company is owned by one Jean Paul Roy. So, from a Rs. 3,200 worth company, it became a Rs.10,000 crore worth company within six days.” Modi backed Gujarat-based business house Adani Group on power purchase and land allotment besides giving gas fields worth Rs. 20,000 crores to private companies for “free.”
Interestingly, GSPC has spent $ 3 billion as cost of exploration. Since Geo Global has a 10 per cent stake, 10 per cent of this cost of $ 300 million (Rs.1,500 crores) should have been borne by Geo Global.
However, the Modi government paid this money on their behalf and did not recover it from them. Why did Modi do that?
Kejriwal seems right in his allegations, and hence this should be investigated thoroughly and the unlawful deal must be cancelled. The opposition Congress, other political parties and media should raise this issue immediately and expose Modi’s real face before the electorate as the elections in Gujarat is very close now. — Zakaria Sultan, Riyadh
