I read with interest the article “Exposing Israel’s crimes” (July 1) by Normal Pollack. The article should serve as an eye opener to those who believe to be a thriving democracy in the Middle East threatened by Palestinians.
Whenever I read any comment or statement of any western leader defending Israel’s “right to self-defense, I feel disgusted. Israel’s military might is unmatchable in the region. As a matter of fact, Israel is a global military superpower with undeclared nuclear capability. Despite all this, the mainstream western media and leaders in the West always portray this Zionist cancer in the Middle East as a victim of “Arab intolerance and aggression.”
We are thankful to all those westerners who think beyond petty politics and who never hide the truth. The article in question has dealt with the issue in great detail. It is very strange to note that a military power like Israel feels threatened by slingshots and rockets, which seldom successfully hit the target. — Shahzeb Khan, Alkhobar
