If you have decided to turn your Twitter account into a professional one, or suddenly realized that your old tweets are not as good as they sounded back then, you must have thought about deleting all your old tweets without having to go through them one by one. I have just discovered and tested a new tool that can help you delete all your tweets or schedule automatic deletion of those older than a certain period of time. Here’s how to do that:
1. Go to tweetdelete.net
2. Sign in using your Twitter account
3. Check ‘Delete all my existing tweets before activating this schedule’ if you want to delete all your tweets and start over
4. Select from Tweetdelete’s deleting options (drop down menu): delete tweets older than one week, two weeks, one month, two months, three months, six months or one year.
5. Click on "Activate Tweetdelete".
6. Wait for 24 hours for Tweetdelete to delete all your tweets based on your selected options.
Tweetdelete will monitor your account from now on and delete tweets that are older than the specific period of time you chose. You can deactivate Tweetdelete any time you want.
The only issue with Tweetdelete is that it can only see your most recent 3200 tweets due to Twitter’s policy. That said, once activated, Tweetdelete will search your Twitter account every few days for old tweets that are accessible and delete them.
