HYDERABAD: The UAE has deported a woman, who allegedly worked as a recruiter for Daesh, to India. The Hyderabad police arrested Afsha Jabeen, 38, along with her husband, identified as Devender Kumar, who goes by the name of "Mustafa."

In January, the woman's alleged Daesh link was revealed by a young techie who was detained at the Hyderabad airport. Salman Moihuddin, in his early 30s, reportedly told the police that a woman posing as a British national, who used the name Nicky Joseph, had met him online and claimed that she was in love with him and would elope with him from Dubai. Together, they planned to move to Syria to join Daesh.

The police said Mohiduddin and Jabeen, who is an Indian citizen, "indoctrinated and motivated several youth via social media platforms to get attracted toward the activities of Daesh and jihad."

A case has been filed against them under the prevention of unlawful activities act.
