NAUSS to co-organize forum on human rights in Bahrain

The second Scientific Forum of Arab Police will take place in Bahrain from Jan. 20 till the 23 to discuss human rights issues in security organs. The forum will be jointly organized by Bahrain’s Ministry of Interior and Naif Arab University for Security Sciences (NAUSS).
The forum comes in the framework of NAUSS’s efforts to boost the culture of human rights, Head of Media and Public Relations at NAUSS Khaled Al-Harfash was quoted by Saudi press agency as stating.
Al-Harfash elaborated further that the forum is aimed at underscoring the role of security officials in ensuring human rights, briefing the attendees on international laws and highlighting the important role of religion in this regard.
The attendees will benefit from a series of research papers presented by various specialists from Arab countries, in an effort to benefit from shared experiences, he added.
The role of mass media in supporting the culture of human rights will also dominate the forum’s sessions, he pointed out.
The forum will be attended by officials and experts from different departments related to human rights issues, such as ministries of interior, information, social affairs, investigation, prosecution bureaus and other related entities from Arab
countries and international organizations.
