KFSH Blue emerges Moneygram champions

King Faisal Specialist Hospital (KFSH) Blue, won the Cricket Ke Badshah six-over Moneygram knockout tournament when they got the better of Aamir Holiday by 11 runs in the final recently.
With this win, unbeaten KFSH Blue qualified for the Champions League to held in Yanbu, at the YACA grounds on May 24. The final was reduced to 3-over-a-side due to time constraints in the Moneygram-sponsored tourney, organized by the Saudi Cricket Center.
KFSH Blue made first use of the track and put up 46 for 2 after they won the toss. Nasir Abbasi was their hero with a well-made 30.
Aamir Holiday in response managed only 35 for 3. Irfan was the highest scorer with 14 runs. The final was witnessed by, Ananth Srivatsa, marketing director of Moneygram, Nadeem Nadwi, CEO, SCC, and other officials.
In the first semifinal Aamir Holidays edged past Pak Shaheen by 4 runs.
Aamir Holidays put on board 73 for 2. Sami Arshad scored a quick -fire 23. Pak Shaheen responded with 69 for 2. Abdulsalam made 23.
In the other semis, KFSH Blue batted first against CKK and plundered 81 for 3. Arshad contributed 36. CKK in reply also batted with purpose and made exactly 81 for 2 to tie the match, which went into the Super Over. CKK managed 13 while KFSH Blue got the required runs off 4 four balls as they scored 16.
First quarterfinal, CKK scored 92 for 3 against Jawahar Al Jazira. Iftikhar top-scored with 29. Later, Jawahar Al Jazira was restricted to 77 with Rizwan making 26.
In the second quarterfinal, Shareem XI scored 77 for 3 against Aamir Holidays. Vicky was the highest run getter with 36. Aamir Holidays achieved their target as they scored 80 for 3 off 33 balls. Kamran dazzled with the bat with a superb 43.
In the third quarterfinal, KFSH, Blue made first use of the track and put up 79 for 1 in their allotted overs. Thanks to Qaiser rapid 43.
Lahore Badshah in reply were stranded at 74 for 3 and lost by 5 runs. Asif stroked 38.
In the last quarterfinal, Lahore Lions made first use of the track against Pak Shaheen and made 69 for 2. Salman top-scored with 41. Pak Shaheen replied with 74 for 1 off 28 balls to score a comfortable win. Waheed made 40.
At the prize distribution ceremony, Ananth Srivatsa was the chief guest while Max Palethorpe and Nadeem Nadwi were the guest of honor. Qasim Naqwi, Hamid Afandi and Tariq Javeed also graced the occasion.
The winners were presented with trophy and prize money of $ 2000 while the runners-up got $ 1000. Medal were also given to the players and officials.
Nasir Abbasi and Kareeem Khan were awarded with special awards while Khawar Abbas and Upul were handed over the service awards.

Best Batsman: Sami Arshad, Aamir Holidays.
Best Bowler: Zeeshan Hiader of Shareem XI.
