Makkah Gov. Prince Khaled Al-Faisal honored the winners of the final function of the Youth Meet for the year on Tuesday.
These were school and university students who won first place in various contests, apart from the sponsors and supporters of the meeting. The event took place at the Al-Khodra Hall of the General Presidency of Youth Welfare in Jeddah.
The winners of the 16 contests were announced by the organizing committee. The contests were in the cultural, science and tourism domains and in four days covered the Holy Qur’an, Sunnah, scientific invention, poetry, short storytelling, drawing, photography and individual speech, composition, wall painting, football, beach volleyball, table tennis and athletics. More than 35,000 students participated in the contests. The executive committee of the meeting is headed by Undersecretary of the Makkah Governorate Abdul Aziz Al-Khodairi.
The Makkah Governorate won first place in a number of individual events.
