Detained Saudi citizen in Arusha released

A Saudi citizen arrested by Tanzanian authorities following a recent bomb explosion in the town of Arusha has been released. “The Saudi citizen, who was detained along with others following a bomb explosion in a church in Arusha in northern Tanzania, has been released thanks to continuous follow-up from Foreign Minister, Prince Saud Al-Faisal, and intense efforts by the Saudi ambassador to Tanzania and his team at the embassy,” Assistant Foreign Minister Prince Khaled bin Saud said in a statement to the Saudi Press Agency on Sunday.
Saeed Al-Muhri, who Tanzanian authorities did not charge with anything, is in good health and on his back to the Kingdom. It was reported earlier that Al-Muhri was an onlooker found at the site of explosion and not a suspect.
