Mango festival at LuLu Hypermarkets

The Mango Festival at LuLu Hypermarkets will take place until May 28.
The inaugural ceremony was held at all LuLu outlets in Riyadh and Alkhobar.
In the Arab world, mango has an esteemed position among fruits in Egypt since pre-historic era.
Mango is considered as a dignified fruit in the Kingdom. It is one of the largest importers of mangoes from all over the world, especially from India and Pakistan.
The Agricultural Ministry in Saudi Arabia has been taking keen interest to produce mangoes in the southern region, especially in and around Jazan where the climatic condition is more suitable for the plant.
During this festival, Lulu will exhibit different more than 10 varieties of mangoes from Jazan, Saudi Arabia.
Being the versatile fruit, there are numerous usages of mango.
The raw fruit is used for preparing pickles, chutneys and fruit drinks.
The drink prepared from the unripe green fruit is as delicious as those prepared from ripe mangoes and is frequently consumed as an antidote to excessive heat.
Both in unripe and ripe form, mango is synonymous for nutritional values.
