Makkah Police has arrested three members of a family and a government employee who had forged Saudi national identity cards for SR 250, 000.
Two Yemeni brothers, their father and the Saudi official who assisted in forging the cards used to make an agreement with the “client” and determine the amount, which usually used to be SR 250,000.
Their condition was that the person who wanted the forged card should not have birth certificate registered in the system. The police are currently looking for one of the brothers.
Spokesman for Makkah Police Lt. Col. Abdul Muhsin Al-Maiman said those arrested will be referred to relevant authorities before being tried.
