Genocide in Myanmar

The perpetuation of a ruthless ethnic-cleansing which has been going on in Myanmar is barbarous to say the least. As if the mass killings and open loathing for the Rohingyas was not enough, a province of Myanmar has imposed a two-child limit for the Rohingyas only.

The recent reports and photographs coming out of Myanmar show Burmese military taking part in killings of the Rohingya Muslims.
The Rohingya Muslims are facing persecution at the hands of the majority Buddhist community. One monk, Sayadaw Wirathu, has the audacity to call himself Burmese Bin Laden, and is stirring up hatred against the Muslims.

The silence of the world community on the brazen violence unleashed upon a harmless people is baffling.
The Burmese icon of human rights, Aung Sun Kyui, is disgracefully quiet on the issue of the Rohingyas who are as much her people as any other. It seems that her presidential ambitions have forced her to remain silent.
It is time the international community woke up. Sanctions and military action against the Myanmar militants are absolutely vital. — Shaukat Naeem Ghumman, Riyadh
