Al-Salem Johnson Controls (ASJC), a global leader in delivering solutions that increase energy efficiency in buildings, ranks fourth on the annual top-ten Best Saudi Company to Work For list, in the large enterprises category for providing ideal work environments.
ASJC employs more than 1,700 people in Saudi Arabia.
The Best Saudi Company to Work For list is released by Al-Eqtisadiah newspaper and launched in partnership between TeamOne Consulting and the Saudi Research and Publishing Group.
The survey assesses companies on multiple factors, including management style, corporate values, training and development, and work-life balance.
“Integrity, innovation and career development are some of the fundamental values, which lead to the success of our company and valuable employees,” said Basil Abdulaziz, VP & GM for Saudi Arabia and Lebanon offices for Johnson Controls.
The company supports the Kingdom’s target to achieve 50 percent Saudization, the national policy to encourage employment of Saudi nationals in the private sector, by 2015.
The company is recognized for a five business-day work week, silver and gold medical insurance programs, housing and transportation allowances, annual airline tickets similar to non-Saudis, and nursery for their children.
Mohannad Al-Shaikh, director of operations and administration at Johnson Controls, said: “We have set new compensation and benefits policies based on the best local and international standards, including a new payroll structure, which is on par with the multinational corporations.’’
Training is provided to employees who have access to 300,000 online educational materials through Johnson Controls.
Employees also have the opportunity to take international job shadowing assignments in the US or technical trainings in Asia and Europe.
An in-house training center provides a variety of courses such as technical expertise, soft skills development and safety training.
