Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani on Friday arrived in Saudi Arabia on his first foreign visit since acceding to the throne in June, SPA said.
Sheikh Tamim flew in to Jeddah and left for Makkah where he performed Umrah.
Later the Qatar emir had a meeting with Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah, who is also currently in Makkah.
Both leaders discussed issues of mutual interest and their stands on regional developments.
The king will celebrate the Eid festival in Makkah, SPA added.
