Prince Mansour bin Muqrin of Saudi Abu Issa Ltd., with his partners Ashraf Abu Issa and Nabil Abu Issa, recently opened a two-storied, 12,293-square-foot Ethan Allen Design Center at Al-Khayyat Center 2 in Jeddah.
Saudi Abu Issa Ltd. is a major business conglomerate in the Middle East with world-class partnerships in retail, technology, real estate and other market sectors.
“We are honored to partner with Saudi Abu Issa Ltd. to bring Ethan Allen to Saudi Arabia,” says Ethan Allen CEO Farooq Kathwari. “The company’s forward-thinking vision is a perfect complement to our fashion-forward attitude.”
Abu Issa’s Chairman Ashraf Abu Issa says Ethan Allen gives Saudis a new experience in buying furniture and designing their homes.
“My team and I are very proud to bring this iconic American luxury brand to Saudi Arabia,” says Abu Issa. “No other company matches Ethan Allen’s range of products, services, and custom options that clients can use to own their own style.”
Housed in a renovated palace, the distinctly regal Design Center bears prominent neoclassical architectural details, including a marble staircase with elaborate iron railings, Palladian windows, marble floors, and a magnificent fireplace with wood-carved baroque motifs.
Dozens of stylized vignettes throughout the showroom highlight Ethan Allen’s eclectic range of furniture and home accents. Shoppers will also find displays where they can see and feel countless custom finish, fabric, and trim options.
The Design Center in Jeddah is Ethan Allen’s second location in the Middle East. The company has plans to continue its international expansion in 2014.
