Makkah police have arrested two Saudis and three Arabs for impersonating police, breaking into a commercial center in Jeddah and running away with money and valuables belonging to its workers.
“The impersonators detained the workers and robbed cash, as well as electronic devices, before they fled the crime scene,” said Lt. Col Aati Al-Qurashi, Makkah police spokesperson.
Police tracked down the criminals after receiving information about the incident. “We sent a specialized police force to arrest the five suspected criminals,” the spokesman said, adding that the five have confessed to their crime.
