An Ethiopian maid in her 30s killed herself in Al-Khafji after she received a call from her country informing her that her parents had died.
Eastern Province police spokesman Col. Ziyad Al-Ruqaiti said the police department received a report from a citizen stating that his maid had committed suicide in the backyard of his house.
Al-Ruqaiti said police criminal investigations recovered the maid’s body. Initial investigations indicate that she was suffering from psychological disorder caused by the news of the death of her parents.
The body was taken to hospital for further forensic tests and examinations.
