DUBAI: A woman called the police after discovering her 18-year-old son had held a party that wrecked their family home while she was on holiday and asked that they had him “locked up” behind bars, British daily The Metro has reported.

Alison Robinson and her husband David, called off their holiday in Britain’s Lake District when a neighbor told them their son, Oliver, had thrown a massive party.

Apparently he initially invited a few friends round for a gathering, but word soon got out and things escalated into a raucous party, British daily The Sun reported.

When Alison and David returned they found their home had been wrecked – a window had been broken, furniture damaged and carpets had been used as toilets.

The furious mother said: “I rang the police straight away. I know that not every mother would do what I did, but he needs to grow up. ‘I even told them to keep him in the cell overnight.”

And she said her husband – who has said he will never speak to the teen again – also sacked their son who worked for the family-run building company.
