September 12: The Express Tribune states that Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) has auctioned five licences for satellite television channels, says a press release on Tuesday. The bidding was held at PEMRA headquarters, Islamabad. Galaxy Broadcasting Network was awarded the news category offering a bid of Rs63.5 million.
