October 12 – Dawn report by Malik Asad states that President Dr Arif Alvi on Thursday removed senior puisne judge of the Islamabad High Court Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui on the recommendations of the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC). Earlier in the day, the SJC had recommended Justice Siddiqui’s removal for his remarks about alleged interference by the country’s premier spy agency in the judicial proceedings.
