Organization of Islamic Cooperation body urges to end Israeli prison violations

JEDDAH: The Independent Permanent Human Rights Commission (IPHRC) of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) reiterated its concern over the treatment of Palestinian prisoners and detainees in Israeli prisons.
The IPHRC called upon the UN secretary-general, the high commissioner for human rights and all relevant UN officials to redouble their efforts both to raise awareness and to address the plight of Palestinian detainees.  The commission urged the international community to take concrete measures to pressure the Israeli government.
