RIYADH: The Saudi Post has issued new commemorative stamps for the Imam Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Royal Reserve, including stamps in the SR3 $0.80) denomination and a SR5 postcard, in a move that documents the reserve's environmental and national value.
Located northeast of Riyadh, approximately 100 km away, the reserve is home to native and rare wildlife, such as gazelles, red-necked ostriches, and Arabian oryx, in addition to resident and migratory birds.
The issue reflects the efforts of the Reserve Development Authority in managing the Imam Abdulaziz bin Mohammed and King Khalid reserves, developing vegetation cover, protecting biodiversity, reintroducing wildlife species, and developing ecotourism destinations in support of environmental sustainability goals and Saudi Vision 2030.
SPL continues to issue commemorative stamps to document the most prominent national and international events and significant milestones in the Kingdom’s history.
