Musharraf Going to Norway

ISLAMABAD, 22 January 2006 — President Gen. Pervez Musharraf will lead a delegation of government and private-sector officials to Norway beginning tomorrow. The president will leave today for the United Arab Emirates on way to Norway. In December Musharraf and UAE President Sheikh Khalifa stressed commitment toward developing closer economic ties.

According to the Norway’s Foreign Affairs website, the Pakistani leader will meet with Prime Minister Jens Soltenberg and King Harald V, as well as legislators and Oslo’s Pakistani community. Talks will revolve around investment and trade. Musharraf will leave on Jan. 25 for Davos, Switzerland to attend the World Economic Forum.
