Indian Schools to Close From Oct. 12 for Eid

JEDDAH, 11 October 2006 — The International Indian Schools in Jeddah, Riyadh and Dammam will remain closed for Eid Al-Fitr holidays from Oct.12. IISJ will reopen on Oct. 30, IISR on Oct. 28 and IISD on Oct. 29.

“We decided to close the school from Thursday (Oct. 12) after receiving a circular today from the Ministry of Education,” IISJ Principal M.S. Rahman said. IIS Riyadh Principal Manzar Jamal said the decision to close the school early was taken by a committee. IISD Managing Committee Chairman Dr. Mumtaz Ali Khan said it was decided to advance the Eid holidays.
