Opening the male workshop at Al-Nuzul hotel in the city of Sakaka, the supervisor of the HRC in Al-Jouf region Ali bin Mudallah said the workshop was aimed at evaluating the present conditions of human rights in the Kingdom and making future plans. He said the HRC was intent on spreading awareness about the concept of human rights and teaching everyone about his rights and duties in this regard.
A total of 43 men attended the workshop. They included: judges, academicians, educationalists, media men, medical doctors, imams of mosques, military personnel and other social categories. The participants brainstormed the issue under accredited instructor Hamdan Al-Wardi. They discussed detriments to human rights in the Kingdom and means of overcoming them. They asked the concerned government departments to help in removing all obstacles impeding the respect of human rights and called for enlightening all citizens about the topic and how to demand their human rights.
A special workshop was held for women in the morning and was attended by 53 Saudi women. Accredited female trainer Hanan bint Abdul Hadi Al-Dhuwaib conducted the workshop which tackled all issues related to the concept of human rights. The participants also talked about issues of concern to women in Saudi Arabia.
They deliberated their common concerns analyzing their problems with a view to finding solutions for them.
The outcome of the male and female workshops will be communicated to the chairman of the HRC Bandar bin Muhammad Al-Aiban to take action on them with the concerned authorities.
