During the ceremony, Rami Raslan, assistant secretary to board of directors and assistant head of Corporate Governance at ADCB, was selected to receive the award for “Corporate Governance Officer of the Year,” recognizing him as an exceptional achiever in the corporate governance space across the region. As one of only a few Arabic speaking qualified chartered secretaries worldwide, Rami holds the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators — UK qualification, earning reputable presence in the UAE and the corporate governance community.
Simon Copleston, executive vice president, general counsel and board secretary said: “This award further demonstrates ADCB’s commitment to excelling in governance. The full-time involvement of suitably qualified and committed professionals, such as Rami, is vital for building governance structures in a complex financial institution.”
