This move will also provide broader exposure to DSCA activities among the company’s customers and other visitors in various regions of the Kingdom.
The company said the agreement included the launch of interactive No. 5053 to support DSCA voice.
In addition to its activities, DSCA includes education and training schools founded in 1987.
These schools are concerned with the welfare and education of children with Down syndrome until they reach 21 years of age.
Prince Saud bin Abdul Rahman Al-Faisal, managing director of DSCA, commended the contributions made by Zain KSA to the Saudi Arabian telecommunications market, and admired the company’s ability to reach to a vast number of mobile users in Saudi Arabia in such a short time period.
He also lauded the company’s social role with a number of charities including the voice of DSCA.
In this regard, Ahmed Al-Faifi, chief operations officer at Zain KSA, said the agreement concluded with DSCA includes encouraging Zain KSA customers and inviting them to support the association by donating directly through sending text messages.
This is in addition to the paper recycling program sponsored by Zain KSA to boost the DSCA financial resources.
Zain Saudi Arabia has designated the short code number 5053 through which customers can send their donations by SMS. Each blank message is worth SR10.
They can also donate SR12 per month by sending number 1 to the same short code number.
