The widows are being taken care of by the Charity Association for Orphans Care or Bena in the Eastern Province.
Ruqi Chairperson Hanan Batarfy said the aim of the festival was to bring happiness and joy in the lives of the orphans and their mothers. “We focus on making these orphans intermingle with society through cultural activities and educational courses in order to make them feel they are important and part of society,” she said.
Salimah Al-Nadaf, supervisor of the Islamic department at the Ministry of Education in the Eastern Province, delivered a lecture on “Al-Ehtwa Al-Usari” (Family Care). She said, “The most important factor for a happy family is to start taking care of each member. It will have a positive impact on every member of the family as well as help unifying the family rather than separating or losing.
“By spreading love among the family, we will eventually ensure we are increasing the stability of family life,” she added.
“The result of minimal family care might lead to loss of the family as well as deviation of children from the right path. Every mother should be tolerant with her children and keep her chin up for their future,” she said.
“The reasons for the increasing number of girls escaping from homes nowadays are basically misunderstanding of dealing with teenagers or threatening them as well as disrespecting them,” Al-Nadaf said and advised that “We must take care of them, we should sit and listen to their problems, we should use educational methods of treating children in our daily life.”
