I read with great interest the article “Watch what you tweet or post online” (Dec. 30) by Saad Al-Dosari. I fully agree with the views expressed by the writer. It is very important to act in a responsible manner in the cyberspace. Actually, the anonymity the Internet provides sometimes encourages an individual to set aside all values. I think it will take some time to come up with online etiquettes, as it is still evolving and that too at a rapid pace. One after another, a new thing comes to the fore. However, it would be useless to believe that one day everybody using the Internet will start acting in a proper manner and avoid posting offensive comments or materials but the situation will certainly improve in the long run.

Many people see the Internet as only a source of entertainment and once we are past this phase, things will change for the better.
