The article “Beirut bombing deserves attention” by Noah Feldman” (Nov. 20) was very balanced and made perfect sense. Lebanon is undoubtedly sitting on a powder keg. Daesh only makes its moves (in the Middle East) in countries with a weak or no political system. We can see that in Iraq where sectarian policies of Nuri Al-Maliki paved the way for the rise of Daesh. Same is the case with Libya and Syria. It is, therefore, very important to keep an eye on the developments in Lebanon. The bombings in Lebanon should be taken seriously and those who perpetrated these attacks be taken to task. The communities living in Lebanon should forge unity among themselves for the greater good of their country.
