US President Barack Obama is on his way out of the White House. He may not be remembered as a successful president of the United States but he sure will go down in the books of history as one of the most erudite individual who tried his level best to undo what his predecessor had done. Unfortunately, Obama had inherited a mess from his predecessor.

We should not blame Obama for the current global problems; it was Bush Jr. who laid the foundations of this ongoing crisis by invading Iraq and Afghanistan.

The wave of xenophobia or Islamophobia, to be more precise, in the West is also the result of “Either you are with us or against us” approach. This sentence divided the United States and rest of the world along religious lines. Though, Bush did not mention a particular group or religion but his subsequent actions cleared all doubts in the minds of the people around the world.

We still remember President Obama’s Cairo speech. It was a nice attempt to reach out to the Muslim world. Before blaming the POTUS, we should try to understand the decision-making process in the United States. It is not as simple as it appears to the outsiders. We wish President Obama all the very best and pray to God that He protect the US from Trump and his likes.
