The opinion expressed by Umber Atif in his letter that “Pakistan being an Islamic state cannot resort to such a horrid crime” needs to be revisited considering the number of bomb blasts and killing of innocent people that take place in Pakistan. He need not worry about the Indian Muslims or Indians.
It is an accepted fact that all current tensions have been created by Pakistani Army in their own interest since the elections are round the corner in Pakistan and they want to take over and run Pakistan to serve their interest. Lastly if Atif is so upset about the treatment of Pakistani artists and sportspersons in India, please let him advise the Pakistan nation to show some self respect and do not come to India since this has not happened for the first time. — Irfan Khan, By e-mail
