Saudi Arabia deserves appreciation for calling the Czech ambassador to protest against translation of Salman Rushdie’s blasphemous book “Satanic Verses.” (“Czech translation of sacrilegious novel must be halted,” Oct. 10)

I think Rushdie should have a debate on the controversial issues with the Islamic scholars, like Dr. Zakir Naik, instead of hiding like a coward in a western country.
