The suicide attack in Dammam on Friday indicates that anti-Saudi Arabia forces are on the move. Terrorists once again targeted the Shiite community in the Kingdom. It has become all the more obvious that unscrupulous elements are desperate to divide the Saudi society along sectarian lines. Last week, Qatif was the scene of a similar suicide attack. In the wake of the attack, the Saudi authorities moved swiftly to nab the culprits thus thwarting the nefarious designs of the enemies of Saudi Arabia.

The so-called Islamic State (IS) has accepted the responsibility for both the attacks. This organization’s claims about a caliphate are nothing but a joke. Only people with very low IQ or with poor understanding of Islam could be attracted to the propaganda unleashed by the IS.

Despite making tall claims about Islamic renaissance, these organizations are in fact working against Muslims and their actions are in sharp contrast with the true teachings of Islam. These organizations are spreading corruption in the land. It is the duty of every Muslim to reject such elements. These terrorists will never succeed in destabilizing the Kingdom. Perhaps they are not fully aware of the strength of the Saudi security apparatus. The Saudi forces have the capability to confront such elements on multiple fronts. Saudis are a united people and attach great importance to national cohesion.
