It was exciting to read the report “Dilip Kumar arrives for Umrah” (Jan. 4) by Siraj Wahab. Also, I am pleased to know that Dilip Kumar and Saira Banu are treating their Makkah visit as a private one and they are not accepting any social invitation from their well wishers. I think by doing this they will be able to concentrate more on their prayers rather than meeting people.

As a matter of fact, many Muslims do come to perform Umrah or Haj and their objective is to engage themselves more and more in worshipping. Before Dilip Kumar, Aamir Khan had come with his mother to perform the Haj. Dilip Kumar is a legend of Indian film industry. He has given a lot to Indian cinema.

As a matter of fact he has shown the ways for budding actors as how to climb up the ladder in the film industry. His pronunciation and dialogue delivery were excellent. — Anees Lokhande, Alkhobar
