It is heartening to note that the authorities are taking action against drifters in the capital city. It has become a dangerous phenomenon. These young lads, mostly Saudis, no doubt are very talented while performing such feats. This shows that proper guidance can help them excel in other fields as well. I do support the ongoing campaign against these daredevils for their own safety and for the protection of others.

These youth perform all such stunts by modifying their vehicles’ hydraulics. Steps should be taken to ban such modification. The youngsters spend a fortune to get their cars modified. It has become a full-fledged industry. By banning modifications of car, the youth will be left with no choice but to abandon this dangerous habit. It is true that they will somehow find an alternative but with much difficulty. This problem needs a foolproof strategy.
