It could be hard for many of us, men, to tell what the difference is between this dress and that. Although some fashion designers do help us by adding a touch of distinguishable identity, yet it remains insufficient for most of us.

The fashion industry in the Gulf region is one of the biggest in the world. A $12 billion market, in fact, calls for a much detailed understanding. You should also know that the industry grows annually by six percent. Can you guess now how much it will be worth by 2020? I shall leave the calculations for economists and of course, legislators of Saudization.

When it comes to prices, the fashion industry is still accused and questioned in terms of reliability. Why are ‘branded’ clothes more expensive in Riyadh than they are in London? Why do ‘sale’ campaigns bring higher prices than regular seasons? Why does the Ministry of Commerce spend most of its inspection rounds in fashion retail stores?
