Jamal Doumani in his article “No end to intellectual terrorism in sight” (June 26) has highlighted an important issue. After going through the article, I realized how important it is for the Muslim countries to establish strong media enterprises to counter the negative propaganda against Muslims and Islam. The article shows that how well organized the Zionists are. Instead of criticizing the West and the Zionist lobby, we should work together to establish our own media houses and try to report events objectively so as to discredit current media giants who act on the whims and wishes of the Zionists.

Without doing so, we would never be able to expose the true face and nature of the so-called “thriving democracy in the Middle East.”

We should realize the true power of media. Today’s media help shape views and opinions. We can no longer sit on the fence and complain about the Zionist tactics. We should pull our act together to counter the attacks on us. Muslim countries should pool in resources to establish a strong media enterprise. This should not be very difficult for us. We have all means and resources to embark on such a project. We should act quickly and tell the world who we truly are.
